CSDB offers a variety of activities in athletics and after school activities for all students throughout the school year. CSDB has been a member of CHSAA (Colorado High School Activities Association) since 1975 and has numerous of athletic accomplishments in its league, Black Forest League (BFL).  CSDB competes in football, volleyball, basketball, wrestling, and track during the school year.  CSDB also participates in Goalball, and competes with several schools in the United States.  Special Olympics is also offered to our students.

In addition to athletics, CSDB offers a variety of activities for all (day and dorm) students in our after school program.  The after school program has been designed to increase students socialization and interests through diverse choices of recreational activities.   The program is supported through Student Life staff and community volunteers.

Dorm activities are offered exclusively for our residential students through the "C.O.M.P.L.E.T.E" program developed to provide learning and enrichment opportunities through a variety of activities and outings.  Student Life staff works with the students to plan their dorm activities based on the 8 categories listed in "C.O.M.P.L.E.T.E."
